Another Trip Begins Soon…Where? Why? » »

I took this shortly after landing from my South America trip 3 weeks ago, somewhere outside of JFK International Airport in NYC. I had forgotten about it until I found it in my memory card the other day.

The image above just gets to me; a memorial arrangement of flowers in the middle of a expressway, the remnants of the caution tape under it. I had almost decided to make it black & white, but I think the desaturated colors and the yellow of the caution tape speak enough for themselves. It makes me wonder who. And why.
