The Drive From Christchurch To Queenstown

Our 8 hour drive from Christchurch to Queenstown was pretty straightforward. But then there was all this:

 

 

We also stopped by at a local horseback riding event for a quick ice cream break on the outskirts of Queenstown.

 

 

Unfortunately, Mary rolled her ankle in a rabbit hole here which led to an ambulance coming by to ice it. Most eventful thing to happen all day!

 

 

Don’t worry, she’s gonna live. We then drove the rest of the way to Queenstown to our Airbnb.

 

 

The town of Queenstown is as beautiful as its surroundings:

 

 

And then with a little bit of neighborhood grocery shopping, this very special little group cooked this:

 

 

And at the influence of yours truly, the group elected to pop in my 2 favorite travel movies, Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, for dessert.
