First hour in Miami: Skipped the line to get inside Miami’s legendary Mansion nightclub. And it just happened to be on the same night as famous world DJ and music producer Steve Aoki’s 34th birthday. You bet it was a layover to remember:
After dancing our butts off to the point I ripped my pants at the inseam (3rd time that’s happened! I must be doing something wrong), we grabbed a bite to eat at Miami’s attempt at NYC’s famous “chicken and rice” halal cart, La Sandwicherie, where I ordered their classic mozzarella prosciutto.
They use a lot of fresh ingredients and it shows in the prosciutto. Unfortunately the flaky bread and the thick mozzarella (not necessarily a bad thing) overpowers a lot of their intended flavors. Skip the smoothies.
40 hours straight of being awake and it’s now early morning at Miami international. We’re about to meet up with our 4th travel partner, Maria, in guatemala. First stop Panajachel…the trip really begins now.
See you in Guatemala, for real this time.
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving!
